Full-Time Service Advisor and General Administrator
Location: Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham
Hours: Full Time 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Mon- Friday (No weekends)
Start date: Immediate start available
We are seeking a capable and motivated Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, ensuring a seamless and positive service experience. You will assess vehicle concerns, provide recommendations for repairs as guided by the Service Manager or workshop team, and help maintain continuity in day-to-day operations. Additionally, you will work closely with our Service Manager to assist with administrative tasks and support the team to ensure smooth and efficient workflow throughout the service department.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers and attentively listen to vehicle concerns
Conduct preliminary vehicle inspections and document findings
Explain recommended repairs and maintenance in clear, non-technical terms
Prepare and present repair estimates, timelines, and invoices
Obtain customer authorisation before commencing work
Coordinate with technicians for accurate diagnosis and timely repair
Monitor repair progress and update customers regularly
Ensure completion of work to quality standards and within scheduled timelines
Address customer questions, complaints, and follow-ups professionally
Maintain accurate service records and customer information
Promote additional services or maintenance as appropriate
Required Skills and Qualifications
Prior experience as a service advisor, automotive technician, or in customer service is essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes.
Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers
Strong organisational and time-management abilities
Proficiency with service management software and computer systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a garage or dealership
Sales or customer service training
