Job Title: Service Apprentice

Hours of Work - Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break (40 hours per week)

Location: Welshpool, SY21 7DF

Apprenticeship Program Overview

Our Apprenticeship Program is designed to provide a comprehensive blend of academic learning and hands-on experience, ensuring apprentices develop the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career. The Service Apprentice learns the Service Technician's role. Works with a mentor or unaccompanied on basic repairs of agricultural equipment under the direction of the Service Manager.

Program StructureDuration:

3 years

College Learning:

Apprentices will attend college in weekly blocks throughout the apprenticeship, gaining theoretical knowledge and industry-specific qualifications.

On-the-Job Training:

Between college blocks, apprentices will work at the depot, applying their learning in real-world scenarios under the guidance of experienced professionals.This structured approach allows apprentices to develop both technical expertise and practical experience, preparing them for a long-term career in the industry.

Essential Duties

Performs basic service tasks and develops skills in removal, disassembly, and reconditioning of components.*
Assists Technicians as needed.*
Reports weekly to a mentor or Service Manager regarding ongoing activities and progression.*
Learns to maintain the condition of inventory, tools and equipment.*
Learns to maintain a clean work area and performs work in a professional, neat and orderly fashion.*
Learns to complete reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.*
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
