Service Charge / Property Accountant

Are you looking to grow your finance career in the property management sector? We're recruiting a Service Charge / Property Accountant to join our team in Marple, Stockport. You'll play a key role in managing residential property finances, with a strong focus on service charges and leaseholder relations.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Managing accurate annual service charge budgets Invoicing leaseholders for service charges, ground rent, and additional fees Preparation of year-end service charge accounts and liaising with external accountants Managing utility and insurance recharges to leaseholders Maintaining accurate tax administration and financial records Working closely with Property Managers to support seamless financial operations Responding to leaseholder and client queries as needed

What We're Looking For

Proven accounting experience in Service Charges Qualified AAT / CIMA / ACCA / ACA with commitment to continued professional development. Strong numerical and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting Team player with a collaborative approach
