Service Design Architect

to join our

pre-sales function

, helping shape world-class service solutions that address customer needs and drive value.


This role sits at the forefront of existing and emerging technologies, collaborating with sales and technical teams to craft solutions spanning

monitoring, hardware maintenance, software support, service desk, remote management, and service improvement

. You'll be instrumental in both

new business wins

and

renewal of existing contracts

, ensuring customers see the full value of Wavenet's managed services portfolio.


What you'll do

Design tailored solutions

that align with customer requirements, business value, and Wavenet's service capabilities.

Support sales engagements

by attending customer meetings, presenting proposals, and building trust with C-level executives and technical stakeholders.

Lead solution authority

across opportunities--ensuring completeness, feasibility, and governance of service designs.

Develop proposals & commercials

, preparing documentation and navigating bid review processes.

Identify risks & assumptions

, managing them throughout the solution lifecycle.

Collaborate cross-functionally

with sales, presales, operations, and project management to ensure smooth transition and delivery.

Contribute to service development

, keeping solutions competitive with market trends and industry best practice.

Drive successful outcomes

by ensuring alignment with business goals, high-quality service design, and customer satisfaction.


Qualifications

About you



Experience in the

UK IT Managed Services market

with strong understanding of services including: + Modern Workplace, End User Service Desk, Managed Desktop
+ Managed Networks, Unified Communications, Infrastructure/Cloud
+ Managed Security
Proven ability to create

complex managed service/outsourcing solutions

, winning contracts from 100k to 10m+.

ITIL Certification

and good knowledge of service delivery frameworks and best practice. Strong commercial and bid experience, including governance and costing models. Excellent

communication, documentation, and presentation skills

--comfortable operating at

CxO level

. Skilled at leading virtual teams and collaborating across technical and sales functions. Understanding of

TUPE, transition, and transformation

in managed services contracts. Public sector procurement experience is a plus.
