This is an opportunity to join a creative and forward-thinking Leadership team. We are ambitious for adults who use our Adult Social Care (ASC) services with an early intervention, prevention, strength-based and enabling approach. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality, cost-effective services which puts people at the heart of everything we do.


As the Service Manager for the Accommodation Hub and Support Options Team, you will build on established partnerships. We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, an experienced Manager, who will collaboratively work with their Service Manager peers and the Senior Leadership Team, to deliver services for adults who draw on social care support.


About the role

You will provide strategical leadership and operational management for the Accommodation Hub and Support Options Team, which has a strong interface with the ASC's Early Intervention and Safeguarding Team, Hospital Discharge Teams, the Social Care Wellbeing Hubs, the All-Age Disability and Mental Health assessment teams. In line with Our Council's principles, you will be a driver of transformation, planning and continuous improvement across the service. Working within the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, DoLs, the Mental Health Act, S117 Aftercare and CHC legislation. You will implement pathways which arranges various high-quality strength based, enabling and Tech-first services in the community and 24-hour settings to meet the needs of our diverse communities. You will oversee the Direct Payments and Brokerage pathways to ensure its continuous improvement. You will champion Adult Safeguarding, to reduce harm to adults who have care and support needs. You will provide a strategical perspective at forums, meetings and events at a local and regional level. You will collaborate with stakeholders and partners to strengthen a whole system approach. You will ensure services are delivered within budget, achieving necessary savings and efficiencies while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

We are looking for an experienced and innovative social care professional who is;

An experienced Manager in Social Care who has a Social Work or other relevant professional registration, with a track record of successful employee, budget, and resource management. Be an innovative thinker with a commitment to improving outcomes of adults who use ASC services. An understanding of the challenges for ASC and other statutory organisations. Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels. Is passionate about service transformation, partnership working, and improving outcomes for people who use services. Is a positive, respectful, and supportive leader who role models the Council's values and expectations.
