Our passengers are local people who otherwise would not be able to attend medical appointments and carry out everyday trips such as shopping, leisure and fitness activities. Position Overview



We are seeking an experienced and proactive Manager to oversee the day to day operations of our charity. The Service Manager will be responsible for managing daily activities, ensuring efficient and compliant service delivery, and leading our team of staff and volunteers. As ours is a small Charity, this is a part-time role.

Purpose:



Ensure the efficient operational management of the organisation. Foster a positive ethos within the organisation. Operate within budgetary restraints. Ensure all relevant documentation and reports are completed Ensure compliance with relevant regulations Support a team of volunteers

Some key responsibilities:



1. Compliance:



Oversee the daily operations of the charity, ensuring the effective and efficient use of resources. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including permits, licensing and safety standards for the operation of accessible minibuses. Assist the Trustees to develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures to improve service delivery and operational efficiency. Ensure safeguarding policies (like DBS checks) are properly implemented Arrange driver training, using the industry standard MIDAS system Respond to any complaints, investigate and report to the Trustees Lead on Health & Safety policies and processes

2. Other duties:



Manage a team of three part-time staff responsible for arranging and recording bookings and conducting daily vehicle checks. Coordinate and support our team of volunteer drivers, ensuring they are appropriately trained and motivated. Report regularly to the Board of Trustees on operational performance and issues Foster relationships with our stakeholders, including passengers, staff, volunteers and suppliers. Support the Trustees on local awareness activity
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
