The Position / Role
Overview:
As an effective member of the engineering services team at our head office based in Bristol. To provide internal sales effort to fully support all requirements placed upon the department to achieve agreed targets of EH&S, output, quality and customer service.
The jobholder may be required to work from time to time at and/or from different locations.
To always work safely, effectively and efficiently considering all persons, plant, property and the environment
To be the principle first point of contact for sales enquires within the SES team and raise quotations
To ensure all orders are correctly entered and completed onto ERP system
To procure all required spares by the most cost effective and efficient route
To assist in planning engineering service activities within the department, to ensure maximization of engineering effort to the benefit of Seetru Limited / SES and our customers, in both Labour resource and equipment.
To actively grow the business by supporting the external sales engineers providing information on any potential new customers identified.
To initiate and drive forward workshop/office incentives to maximise efficiency, operability and housekeeping.
To arrange with other departments as necessary the transportation required for collections/deliveries of units form and to our customers premises. And for the collection/delivery of any spares or other consumables as required.
Actively seek out and discuss with the relevant people, means of improving all aspects of a customer's supplier organisation to include but not restricted to the safety, output, and efficiency of the engineering services department.
To undertake any other reasonable relevant task/training that may be required within the engineering services department or within Seetru Limited.
Work/communicate with all other members of the team to ensure that knowledge vital to the smooth operation of the department is transferred effectively.
To work wherever required within the Seetru Limited organisation.
Skills and Attributes
It is imperative that all Staff are always safety aware and will be expected to always wear the relevant Personal protective equipment (PPE) where required at all times.
This role is to ensure efficient workflow through the workshop complete from valve receipt through dispatch to customer, including all necessary activities to ensure this happens in a timely complete manner.
This role will require interdepartmental contact, so a calm, efficient but persuasive manner will be a must to ensure the needs of the department (and Seetru Limited) are met to the satisfaction of our customers. The jobholder will also need to be a creative thinker to ensure all transportation is arranged on time and efficiently.
To be responsible for standards within the service department and to actively seek out and apply improvements in all aspects of the working practices, E, H&S, and housekeeping. To inform the SES management of any gaps in the staff skill base and to recommend any training needs that have been identified.
This role involves direct contact with our customers and relevant insurance representatives therefore it is imperative that our engineers always conduct themselves in the appropriate manor as ambassadors of Seetru Limited.
Full training will be provided, but knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products will be a benefit but not essential.
Good telephone manner is essential for this role.
