Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong ability to engage with customers. As a Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with merchandising, and ensuring the shop is well-organised and inviting for customers.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products Provide knowledgeable advice on products and services to enhance customer satisfaction Engage in upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities Maintain an organised and visually appealing shop environment through effective merchandising Handle customer inquiries over the phone with professionalism and courtesy Manage stock levels and assist with inventory control Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the shop Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve overall shop performance

Experience

Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential Multilingual or bilingual abilities, particularly in English and Spanish, are advantageous Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with customers Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately Excellent time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively Familiarity with phone etiquette to handle calls professionally
