Overview

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Shop & Coffee Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about local produce and customer service, and who thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our cafe & all aspects of retail while in the shop.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages & assist and serve our in house products. Assist with food preparation and presentation, ensuring high standards of food safety Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of both shop & cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations, being part of a small team you must be reliable. Stay knowledgeable about menu items and ingredients and seasonal produce to provide recommendations to customers

Requirements

Previous experience in shop & cafe/restaurant setting is preferred. Strong people skills with a focus on customer satisfaction Ability to work effectively in a small team environment while also being self-motivated Knowledge of food safety practices is essential Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour Flexibility to work various shifts, including Saturday.

Pay: 12.35-12.85 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 35 per week
