Shoryu Oxford brings authentic Hakata tonkotsu ramen to Oxford City Centre's Westgate Shopping Centre feeding hungry shoppers.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant operations and a flair for creating exceptional dishes that delight our guests. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in leading the kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food production and preparation, and maintaining an organised and efficient kitchen environment.

Duties

Oversee all aspects of food production and preparation, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish served. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment. Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current food trends. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and menu items. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant setting is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent knowledge of food production techniques and culinary trends. Experience in menu planning and recipe development is highly desirable. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences is crucial. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
