Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shunter driver /Forklift Operator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to handle materials within our warehouse and moving the trailers from various bays in our warehouse. This role is crucial for ensuring that goods are loaded, unloaded, and stored correctly, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Duties

Operate forklifts to load and unload materials from lorries and containers. Move materials around the warehouse, ensuring proper storage and organisation. Move materials outside and maintaining a clean and tidy work area. Drive the trailers from various areas within the site. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy in order fulfilment. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organised work environment especially outside

Experience

Proven experience in materials handling and warehouse operations is preferred. Familiarity with forklift operation and relevant certifications is essential. Shunter experience critical. Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting is advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.50-14.50 per hour
