We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated
Production Manager
to lead, optimise, and innovate our manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with a proven track record in
CNC machining, laser cutting, and general manufacturing equipment
management, coupled with strong supply chain and process improvement expertise.
The successful candidate will oversee daily production activities, maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives. You'll be a decisive leader with the technical expertise to troubleshoot mechanical challenges, the strategic mindset to optimise workflows, and the interpersonal skills to inspire and develop your team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily production operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and delivery targets are met.
Implement, maintain, and improve ERP systems (including SAP) to streamline workflows and enhance production visibility.
Coordinate closely with the supply chain team to manage material requirements, optimise inventory, and prevent production delays.
Drive continuous improvement projects to boost productivity, minimise waste, and improve safety.
Oversee and support CNC machining, laser cutting, and other manufacturing processes, ensuring machinery is maintained and operated effectively.
Monitor and enforce adherence to quality standards, including regular quality control inspections.
Provide mechanical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly.
Train, mentor, and develop production staff, fostering a culture of operational excellence and accountability.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven track record in production management within a manufacturing environment.
Strong hands-on experience with
CNC machining, laser cutting, and general manufacturing equipment
.
Solid understanding of supply chain principles and production planning.
Proficiency in SAP and other ERP systems.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment problems.
Experience in quality control processes and assembly line management.
Demonstrated leadership ability, with excellent communication and people management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred (Not Essential)
Willingness and motivation to learn and develop new skills, including
welding and spraying
techniques.
Additional certifications or training in manufacturing processes, safety, or lean methodologies.
