Job Summary
The Site Electrical Foreman will be responsible for leading and coordinating the daily activities of electrical site crews. This includes installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, technical proficiency, and experience in industrial construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
Site Leadership and Crew Management
Supervise and coordinate the work of electrical tradespeople and subcontractors on-site.
Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure team members adhere to project timelines and quality standards.
Provide hands-on support, training, and technical guidance to the electrical crew.
Installation and Maintenance
Oversee the installation, connection, and testing of electrical equipment, cabling, and panels.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with design drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct inspections and perform functional tests to validate system integrity and performance.
Health and Safety Compliance
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all team members follow health and safety protocols.
Enforce the correct use of PPE and safe work practices.
Participate in risk assessments and toolbox talks; report and respond to safety incidents.
Coordination and Communication
Liaise with site managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
Report on daily progress, delays, and workforce requirements.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and personnel on site.
Quality Control and Documentation
Verify the quality of installations against standards and project requirements.
Assist with quality audits and documentation of completed work.
Identify and correct any non-compliant installations or practices.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Completed vocational training or apprenticeship in electrical engineering or installation.
Minimum of 4,5 years' experience in a supervisory role within the electrical construction sector.
Prior experience in Waste to Energy, industrial, or infrastructure projects is a strong advantage.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of electrical drawings, schematics, and layout plans.
Familiarity with UK electrical standards (BS 7671) and HSE safety regulations.
Competence in using hand and power tools, test equipment, and safety devices.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, NAVISWORKS, MS Project)
Certifications
Valid CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport (mandatory).
SSSTS (Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme)
Language and Communication
Good command of English
Polish language skills are mandatory
Clear communication skills to effectively lead and report on site operations.
Other Requirements
Valid driving license (Category B).
Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally to Poland.
Salary and Benefits
Pay: 19.54 per hour
Holidays: 28 days holiday (including UK bank holidays)
