Play a key part in keeping our homes and communities safe, clean, and well-maintained. As a Site Labourer Driver, you'll support our trade operatives by transporting materials and carrying out essential labouring tasks. Your work will help us deliver high-quality maintenance and improvement services for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, transport, and deliver materials, tools, and equipment to and from sites, ensuring timely and safe completion of works.
Load and unload vehicles safely, following manual handling procedures and site safety requirements.
Conduct regular checks on stock levels and van stock to maintain accurate inventory.
Carry out a range of labouring duties including site clearance, digging, mixing, demolition, power washing, fencing, roofing, and working at height where required.
Safely handle and move glazing and building materials as needed.
Clear and clean properties and gardens, removing waste and debris and disposing of it appropriately.
Complete daily vehicle checks, reporting defects to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with transport regulations.
Use a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to receive and complete jobs as part of our mobile working approach.
Work collaboratively with trade operatives, contractors, and partner agencies, maintaining clear and respectful communication with customers.
Champion Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and report any Health & Safety issues promptly.
What you'll need to succeed
A full valid driving licence.
Ability to safely load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
Strong communication and customer service skills to work effectively with colleagues, contractors, and residents.
Good understanding of health and safety regulations including manual handling, working at height, and site safety.
Digital confidence using mobile devices and Microsoft 365 applications such as Teams and Outlook.
Practical experience in construction, repairs, or property maintenance (desirable).
Experience in labouring tasks such as site clearance, groundwork, and assisting skilled trades (desirable).
Organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently and work under pressure.
