Position Overview:

The Site Management team has the overall responsibility for managing Infrastructure space, power, physical security and structured cabling across all Squarepoint data centers, offices, and colocation facilities. This team collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to establish and enforce design standards, implementation strategies, techniques, runbooks, and procedural documents that govern the delivery of infrastructure projects ensuring both consistency and quality.

This role is essential to new construction, expansion, relocation and capital improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with infrastructure stakeholders to develop, implement, and continuously improve standards and run books that are used in the design and commissioning of data centers, offices, and colocation facilities
  • Lead/direct vendors via Scope of Work and Requests for Proposals/information documents
  • Manage the fit out/build out of construction projects to ensure they are aligned with stakeholder requirements
  • Provide capacity, inventory, and alert management; analyze data, and make recommendations for improvement
  • Anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, minimize unplanned downtime and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Initiate and carry out projects that add capability, improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs
  • Manage IMACs in the data centers and colocation sites, and participate in scheduled power downs for all facilities
Required Qualifications:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, with a concentration in Networking and Communications or Building Engineering, or equivalent 7+ years professional experience in a Networks or DCIM role
  • Experience with structured cabling design and installation, using best practices, and industry standards as it relates to Data Center facilities
  • Understanding of basic power calculations on single and 3-phase circuits, electrical drawings and control diagrams
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Knowledge of a scripting programming language, Python, preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining schedule and scope
  • Familiar with optical fiber, various connector types and characteristics as described in TIA/EIA-568B, ITU-T G.671, ITU-T G.652 and Telcordia GR-32
  • Electrical and mechanical engineering of systems such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS, ATS switches, PDU units, HVAC systems
  • Experience with BMS (Building Management System) and building EPMS control systems
