We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with the ability to cultivate and maintain beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces. This role requires hands-on experience with various gardening techniques, including the use of power and hand tools, as well as knowledge of irrigation systems and plant care.
Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance garden areas through regular planting, pruning, weeding, and watering.
Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various gardening tasks.
Implement irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and landscapes.
Conduct landscape maintenance activities, including lawn care, mulching, and seasonal clean-ups.
Monitor plant health and growth, identifying any issues such as pests or diseases.
Assist in the design and installation of new garden features or layouts as required.
Collaborate with team members to ensure all groundskeeping tasks are completed efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including the proper storage of tools and equipment.
Qualifications
Proven experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is essential.
Familiarity with power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers is essential.
Knowledge of plant species, growth requirements, and pest management techniques is advantageous.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail with a passion for creating aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively while working independently or as part of a team.
