We currently operate from 2 sites in Duns and Berwick upon Tweed and, due to continued expansion, we are currently recruiting skilled steel erectors to work from our Duns site.

Summary

We are seeking skilled steel erectors to join our dedicated team at Thorburn Group Limited. In this role, you will be instrumental in the fabrication and assembly of steel structures that support our agricultural clients. Your skills will directly contribute to the quality and safety of our products.

Please note a good attitude, good timekeeping and pride in your work are the most important factors to us, training can be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble steel components for agricultural buildings and systems. Weld various materials using different welding techniques, including stick welding. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete projects. Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate construction. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion. Operating hand power tools The ability to work to stringent quality control Be able to work under pressure and work to tight deadlines Have the ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks Be able to stay away overnight on occasion
