We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to clients in various care settings, including home care, assisted living, nursing homes, and hospice environments. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for all individuals. This role involves working closely with clients who may require specialised care such as Alzheimer's, dementia, or general senior care. Candidates must possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others and demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of their work.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily activities including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Administer medication accurately following prescribed care plans
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
Support patients with activities such as light housekeeping and laundry
Monitor and document patient conditions, behaviours, and progress
Manage behaviour issues with patience and effective behaviour management techniques
Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
Support clients with medical appointments and transportation if required
Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans
Assist with specialised care needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia care
Maintain accurate records in accordance with legal and organisational standards
Experience
Previous experience in a care home, nursing home, or home care environment is highly desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
Experience in caring for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's is advantageous
Familiarity with case management and care planning processes is beneficial
Certification in first aid is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates
Valid driving licence is an advantage for roles involving client transportation
Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely and effectively when required
