Snr Content Designer| 6 Month Contract | (Inside IR35) | Hybrid (Edinburgh) | Starting ASAP

Harvey Nash\xe2\x80\x99s public sector client is looking for a Snr Content Designer. You will bring about change in how the client delivers services to users. This role will support:

  • The delivery of significant improvements to the quality and scope of digital services, including the website and member portals.
  • Improvement of touchpoints on live pension services, including forms, letters and updates.
  • The implementation of business and organisational change to support those services so that benefits are realised.
  • This role will also support other projects as the need arises within the business.
The client is building a user centred design capability in the Agency. Therefore, part of your role will be upskilling and supporting delivery teams to create content that understands and meets user needs.

Main Duties:
  • Work with minimal supervision to create and iterate content for end-to-end services that makes complex language and processes easy to understand and directs others in the pursuit of this as needed.
  • Understand and implement appropriate content styles and standards as needed.
  • Identify, analyse, manage and monitor relationships with and between stakeholders, using evidence to explain decisions made and balancing competing priorities.
  • Lead the design and implementation of content strategies, directing the evaluation of strategies and policies to ensure business requirements are being met.
  • Work with user researchers to understand users, identifying who they are and what their needs are based on evidence.
  • Prioritise and define approaches to understanding user stories, guiding others in doing so, and proposes design approaches or services to meet these needs.
  • Offer recommendations on the best content design tools and methods to use.
  • Review content produced by others against digital standards and guidelines.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Extensive experience of writing for the web, with proven ability of planning and creating accessible user-centred content.
  • Proven experience in using data and user feedback to define and refine content.
  • Proven experience of managing relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in working with content publishing systems.
  • Essential DDaT knowledge
