In this senior leadership role, you will ensure high standards of care, strengthen safeguarding, maintain regulatory compliance, and inspire Registered Managers and their teams to deliver outstanding outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure homes comply with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
Provide visible leadership, mentoring, and professional support to Registered Managers.
Oversee safeguarding policies and embed safe, accountable practices across all services.
Lead homes confidently through Ofsted inspections, aiming for 'Good' or 'Outstanding' ratings.
Advise on operational effectiveness, including staffing, budgets, and resource management.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with local authorities, social workers, and regulatory bodies.
Champion staff training, development, and performance management.
Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and child-centred care.
About You
Minimum 3 years' senior leadership or consultancy experience in children's residential care.
NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent/working towards).
Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, Ofsted frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to influence practice and improve outcomes for children.
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across Greater London.
