Social Care Consultant
, driving quality, compliance, and innovation across multiple children's residential homes.
About the Role
As a key senior figure, you will act as the Responsible Individual, ensuring that every home under your oversight provides safe, nurturing, and high-quality care. You will lead Registered Managers, champion best practice, and shape services that deliver real impact.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Ensuring governance, compliance, and quality standards meet or exceed Ofsted expectations.
Providing inspirational leadership, guidance, and strategic direction to Registered Managers.
Embedding safeguarding best practices and ensuring policies are consistently upheld.
Leading continuous improvement to achieve and maintain Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings.
Overseeing inspections, compliance reporting, and operational performance.
Managing budgets, resources, and workforce planning to ensure services run efficiently.
Building strong partnerships with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders.
Driving staff development, training, and performance to cultivate a high-performing team.
About You
We are looking for an experienced, values-driven professional with:
A successful track record in senior leadership within children's residential services.
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and the Quality Standards.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent, or willingness to achieve it).
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
A deep commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and young people.
Experience managing budgets, compliance, and operational delivery.
