The University of Bradford's Marketing department is recruiting for a Social Media Assistant on a fixed term contract. You will join a collaborative digital channel team of inventive individuals who engage with prospective students and the University community through advertising, social media and the website. This is an exciting time to join the University of Bradford during the City of Culture 2025, in the University's fourth year at the top of the UK Social Mobility Index, and as we launch our new University strategy.
What you will be doing:
Support delivery of the University's social media strategy, to drive student recruitment, build the University brand and engage with communities across a variety of social media channels
Develop campaigns and calendars of activity to drive traffic and engagement to social media platforms and the University website
Participate in events and collaborate with students and a wide range of teams across the University, to capture and create innovative content that engages key target audiences and aligns with the University brand values and tone of voice
Engage in discussions with online communities and monitor and respond to enquiries and comments
Measure social media success and produce campaign reports to inform stakeholders on performance
Qualifications/ experience:
Experience of developing successful social media campaigns
Understanding of social media platforms and their audiences
Experience of creating and managing digital content
Engaging with online communities
5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade 4/C and above including English
The successful candidate will join the Digital Channel team within the Marketing function but will regularly collaborate with colleagues across the marketing department and the wider university.
