This is a
hands-on, fast-paced role
where no two days look the same. You'll be running our Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, and LinkedIn channels, capturing the energy of our food trucks, restaurants, and events, and turning it into engaging content that builds our community and brand.
This isn't a 9-5 desk job -- you'll need flexibility to work evenings and weekends and travel across the South West to cover our restaurants in Bristol and Reading, plus our food trucks at different event locations.
The Role
You'll manage and grow our social channels, create engaging content, and deliver a cohesive, impactful social media strategy. Working closely with our Marketing Manager, you'll capture authentic content that brings the
Gurt Wings experience
to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, create, and schedule content across all platforms using Meta Business Suite and other tools.
Respond to direct messages throughout the day in a timely manner.
Visit sites and trucks to capture high-quality photo and video content (food, events, team, behind the scenes).
Edit short-form video content using CapCut.
Design engaging graphics and posts in Canva.
Stay ahead of social media trends, challenges, and platform updates.
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on campaigns, promotions, and seasonal activity.
Ensure consistency of branding, messaging, and tone across all platforms.
About You
2+ years' experience in a social media role, ideally within food, hospitality, or lifestyle.
Relevant degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or similar (preferred, not essential).
Skilled in Canva, CapCut, TikTok content creation, and confident with Meta scheduling tools.
Good photography and videography skills with a strong creative eye.
Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects at once.
Strong communicator, collaborative, and able to work with a diverse team.
Flexible with working hours and able to travel across the South West.
Access to your own vehicle - Travel will be paid.
