Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and creative Social Media Intern to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in social media management and public relations. The successful candidate will assist in developing our online presence, engaging with our audience, and promoting our brand across various platforms.

Duties

Assist in the creation and scheduling of engaging content for social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Monitor social media channels for trends, comments, and messages, responding promptly to engage with our audience. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns that align with our brand objectives. Conduct research on industry trends and competitor activities to inform content strategy. Help track and analyse social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and suggest improvements. Support public relations efforts by drafting press releases and assisting with media outreach as needed. Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas for enhancing our social media presence.

Requirements

A strong interest in social media management and public relations. Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail. Familiarity with major social media platforms and their best practices. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus but not essential. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred.
