We're a growing renewable energy business based in Brighton, specialising in solar PV, battery storage, and electrical installations. Our goal is to help homeowners and businesses lower energy costs and transition to sustainable energy solutions.

We're looking for a Part-Time Social Media Manager to take full ownership of our social media presence across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, with a strong focus on turning content into real enquiries and booked surveys.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to oversee and enhance our organisation's online presence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing engaging content, managing social media platforms, and fostering positive public relations.

Responsibilities

Own and manage our social media presence across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn Plan, schedule, and publish all content consistently across platforms Create a clear content strategy and 12-month content calendar aligned with business goals, seasonal demand, and campaigns Research, ideate, and propose engaging content concepts that educate, build trust, and generate enquiries Stay up to date with social media trends, audio trends, platform updates, and algorithm changes Edit all photos and videos to a high standard, including: Short-form video (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) Long-form video (YouTube) Static posts, carousels, stories, and thumbnails Adapt content appropriately for each platform (not one-size-fits-all posting) Write engaging captions, hooks, and calls-to-action that drive interaction and enquiries Develop and refine a scalable creative strategy that can grow alongside the business Monitor performance using analytics tools and platform insights Track key metrics such as reach, engagement, click-throughs, DMs, leads, and booked surveys Optimise content based on data and performance trends Generate and manage inbound leads from social media (DMs, enquiry forms, bookings) Collaborate with the business owner to align content with sales messaging and current offers Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, values, and industry compliance where relevant

What We're Looking For

Proven experience managing social media accounts for a business or brand Strong understanding of YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, including how content performs differently on each platform Excellent video and photo editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Canva, or similar) Confident creating both short-form and long-form video content Strong creative instincts combined with a commercial, results-driven mindset Ability to turn content into real enquiries, DMs, and booked surveys, not just likes Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of social media performance Organised, proactive, and capable of planning content well in advance Analytical mindset with experience reviewing insights and adjusting strategy accordingly Strong written communication skills for captions, CTAs, and messaging Ability to spot opportunities for viral or high-performing content within the renewables space Interest in renewable energy, solar, sustainability, or home improvement industries is highly desirable UK-based knowledge preferred (audience, tone, and market understanding)
