Weleda UK is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the Head of Brand & Communications. Responsible for the day-to-day management of our social media channels and influencer activity, ensuring engaging and on-brand content, brand awareness and positive community management, aligned with our brand values and marketing objectives.

The Role:




Social Media Strategy & Execution:


Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Weleda UK's brand vision and marketing goals. Working closely with our social media agency to manage the day-to-day operations of our key social media channels, and publish high-quality, engaging, and on-brand content including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor best practice, and emerging social media platforms to ensure the brand remains relevant and ahead of the curve.


Content Creation & Management:


Develop monthly content calendars and assets in collaboration with our agency and Head of Brand & Comms - from brainstorming creative concepts to producing visually appealing and impactful content, including graphics, videos, and copy. Write compelling captions and posts that resonate with our target audience and reflect our brand voice. Support the sales team to develop content for their key accounts.


Brand Voice & Consistency:


Ensure consistency of the brand voice, tone, and messaging across all social media platforms. Work closely with the Head of Brand & Comms and the PR Manager to ensure social media content aligns with larger campaigns and messaging. Stay true to the brand's values, vision, and messaging while adjusting for platform-specific nuances.


Influencer Marketing:


Identify, build, and maintain relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors who align with Weleda's values. Coordinate influencer campaigns, selecting key influencers to work with, approving briefs and content to ensure deliverables are met and brand guidelines are adhered to, and liaising with sales team to maximise return via retailer support.



Analytics & Reporting:


Monitor social media performance using analytics tools to track growth in social media followers, engagement rates, and community sentiment, and use insights to optimise content strategy and improve engagement, reach, and conversions.



Collaboration & Coordination:


Work closely with the marketing, PR, retailer and product category teams to ensure social media campaigns align with broader brand initiatives.



Compliance & Brand Integrity:


Ensure all social media content adheres to Weleda's ethical and sustainable values. Stay updated on social media regulations (especially for Health / OTC products) and best practices to maintain compliance.



Crisis Management:


Proactively monitor social media channels for potential issues or customer concerns, and collaborate with the Head of Brand and Communications on any necessary crisis management plans or communication strategies.



Social Media Advertising:


Collaborate with the marketing team to manage paid social media campaigns (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok ads) to reach new audiences and drive conversions. Optimize ad creatives and targeting to achieve business goals, including brand awareness, traffic, and sales.

Your profile:




Proven Social Media Management experience (+3 years) preferably within the beauty, fashion, or health sectors, responsible for content creation, campaign management, and community engagement across major social platforms

Experience working with influencer marketing, collaborations, and social media advertising. Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, algorithms, and digital marketing techniques and analytics tools. Proficient in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Instagram Insights, Facebook Analytics). Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling social content Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and storytelling. Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A proactive, self-starter with a passion for beauty and fashion and a strong understanding of beauty trends. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team and build relationships with key stakeholders. Adaptable and able to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment. Enthusiastic, positive, and results-driven.

This is an hybrid-based role, working three days a week at our Ilkeston office in Derbyshire.

Salary 30,000- 40,000
