We are currently looking for a

Social Media Manager

to join our Digital Engagement team on a full time, permanent contract.

You will lead on the planning and delivery of organic social content strategies and act as a key link between the Digital Engagement and Campaigns teams, ensuring alignment between content, messaging and media spend. You'll use audience insight, platform trends and performance data to develop social-first campaigns that engage our audiences and support wider brand and business goals.

The annual salary stated is based on the Full-Time Equivalent (40 hours per week). If the job is part-time, the weekly hours will be stated within the advert.

Key Responsibilities





Work closely with the Senior Social Media and Content Manager to develop and execute the organisation's social media strategy, contributing insights and ideas for long-term growth

Work in partnership with the Marketing Campaigns team to align activity across organic and paid social; work with our media agency to brief and execute paid campaigns related to editorial content, channel growth and brand awareness activity
Develop our community strategy for social media, fostering meaningful interactions and dialogue with our followers to build brand reputation with audiences
Work closely with our Audience Insight team to understand our audience segments, to inform campaigns and overall strategy
Lead the social media planning function, attracting and building audiences across our official Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp and YouTube accounts with a regular calendar of activity. Manage and develop the Social Media Coordinator, providing day-to-day guidance, professional development support, and quality assurance across their work


Skills & Experience





Experience managing and developing social media channels in-house for a large brand, arts and culture institution or visitor attraction

Strong understanding of how organic and paid social can work together to drive brand engagement and audience growth
Expertise in paid social media strategies, particularly for audience growth and brand presence, and experience collaborating with media buying agencies
A deep understanding of each social media platform and an understanding of how to optimise a calendar of activity to achieve the best organic reach
Demonstrable ability to plan and execute social media calendars, maximising content across multiple platforms and formats
