Sweetland London is seeking a dynamic, creative, and commercially minded
Social Media Manager / Lead
to own and enhance our social media presence end-to-end. This role is responsible for strategy, content creation, publishing, community engagement, performance optimisation, and online reputation management across all social platforms.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands
luxury food branding, gifting culture, storytelling, and how social media drives real sales and brand equity
, not just impressions. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping Sweetland London's digital voice, building community, and positioning the brand as a modern, premium, gift-led business with strong commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Sweetland London's brand pillars:
premium, gifting, heritage, modern luxury, and community

Plan and deliver monthly and quarterly content calendars aligned with organisational and commercial goals.
Align social activity with key trading moments, including
.
Identify growth opportunities across platforms, formats, and emerging trends to keep the brand at the forefront of digital innovation.
Content Creation
Create, curate, and schedule high-quality content across all relevant platforms, including text, images, video, reels, carousels, stories, and other multimedia formats.
Write compelling, on-brand captions, hooks, and calls-to-action tailored to diverse audiences.
Produce content showcasing:
Product and gifting ranges
Craftsmanship and behind-the-scenes production
Sweetland London's brand story and baklava heritage
Customer moments, celebrations, and testimonials
Corporate gifting, retail, and premium partnerships
Ensure all content reflects a
premium retail aesthetic
and consistent brand voice.
Publishing & Community Management
Manage and publish content across all Sweetland London social channels, including:
Instagram
Facebook
TikTok
LinkedIn (corporate gifting, partnerships, and brand credibility)
Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and interactions, responding promptly to foster positive community engagement.
Manage Stories, Highlights, pinned content, and day-to-day channel activity.
Public Relations & Online Reputation
Support public relations activity through social media, maintaining a positive and professional online presence.
Handle any potential issues, negative feedback, or reputational risks calmly and professionally in line with brand standards.
Identify and support influencer, PR, and collaboration opportunities that align with Sweetland London's positioning.
Performance, Analytics & ROI
Track, analyse, and report on performance metrics, including:
Engagement
Reach and impressions
Follower growth
Website traffic
Conversion to sales
Use data insights to assess campaign effectiveness and optimise future content and strategy.
Support promotional campaigns, launches, and paid social activity where applicable.
Brand & Collaboration
Maintain brand consistency across all platforms and content.
Work closely with the founder and wider marketing, design, and content teams to optimise messaging and campaign delivery.
Ensure social media supports Sweetland London's
corporate gifting, retail, wholesale, and premium partnership ambitions
.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in social media management or digital marketing roles, ideally within food, luxury, gifting, or retail brands.
Strong understanding of public relations principles as they apply to social media.
Demonstrable ability to create engaging, high-quality content for diverse audiences.
Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail and brand voice consistency.
Commercial mindset with a clear understanding of how social media drives sales and brand growth.
Ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into effective action.
Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams.
Experience supporting e-commerce or Shopify brands (desirable).
