Overview
We are seeking a highly creative, organised and proactive
Social Media Manager
to oversee and grow the online presence of a global, travelling music artists within the electronic music space. This position requires flexibility, as working hours will vary depending on the client's location and schedule. You will collaborate closely with number of full-time videographers and photographers who will be with the artists at all times to capture and deliver content. Your role will focus on strategy, execution, community management, and performance analysis, primarily across Instagram and TikTok.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Creative Direction
Design and deliver creative, engaging and forward-thinking social media strategies across Instagram and TikTok.
Stay up to date with social, cultural, and industry trends--especially within electronic music--and apply them to the artist's platforms.
Provide creative guidance, ideas and direction for content (shooting is not required).
Conduct ongoing audience research to identify opportunities for high-performing, relevant content.
Analyse competitor and like-minded artist activity to understand what performs well and why.
Recommend improvements to increase reach, engagement, and overall performance.
Platform Management
Instagram
Fully manage day-to-day handling of the main Instagram account.
Responsible for:
Feed posts
Story content
Commenting and community interaction
Responding to DMs
Managing comment replies
Run and manage the Instagram broadcast channel to help boost engagement.

Main TikTok Account
Handle daily posting and management.
Adapt content from videographer/photographer into a TikTok-optimised format.
Post more frequently than Instagram when needed.
Engage through comments, replies, and trends.
TikTok BTS Account
Post POV-style, behind-the-scenes, and unique personality-driven content to build fan connection and expand overall presence.
Content Management
Collaborate with the videographer and photographer to coordinate and execute content plans.
Create, curate, or commission original and engaging multimedia content across platforms.
Use

to review and collect the best fan-generated content daily for:
Feed dumps
Stories
Fan account posts
Optimise all content for maximum engagement (e.g., length, pacing, colour/brightness, captions, format).
Community Management
Manage and facilitate online communities by responding to posts, generating discussions, and maintaining an active, positive presence.
Ensure tone, voice, and engagement style aligns with the artist's brand.
Curate aesthetically consistent, engaging photo/video dumps.
Data, Performance & Reporting
Monitor, track, analyse, and report on performance across platforms using analytics tools on Instagram, TikTok and other relevant platforms.
Identify consumer trends and insights that can inform future content and campaigns.
Research and evaluate the latest tools, techniques, and best practices to improve measurement and performance.
Set measurable goals to grow brand awareness, engagement, and loyalty.
Manage and track social media budgets for campaigns, ads, or growth initiatives.
Communication & Coordination
Maintain strong communication with the artist and team to ensure all content is approved, aligned, and timely.
Work closely with videographer/photographer to stay ahead of upcoming travel, events, and opportunities for content capture.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of Instagram and TikTok trends, tools, and best practices.
Deep understanding and genuine interest in the electronic music scene and its audience.
Proven experience developing successful social media strategies and growing accounts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organised and adaptable, able to work flexible hours based on the artist's schedule and global travel.
Skilled in interpreting analytics and applying insights to improve performance.
Creative, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining an aesthetically cohesive brand identity.
Experience managing budgets and evaluating ROI for social media initiatives.
