Kensington House Publishing Ltd is seeking a talented and creative Social Media Manager to join its dynamic marketing and digital team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work at the heart of one of the UK's leading illustrated non-fiction publishers, shaping our online presence and engaging audiences across all major platforms--including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, and Reddit.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing innovative social campaigns, building community engagement, and driving brand visibility. You will collaborate closely with authors, designers, and marketing colleagues to showcase our standout titles and bring exceptional content to readers worldwide.
Duties
Plan, create, and manage social media content from initial concept through to final publication across all platforms.
Oversee day-to-day posting, community management, and audience engagement.
Manage and grow all social channels, including a strategic presence on Reddit and relevant subreddits.
Write compelling captions, social copy, campaign messaging, and promotional posts.
Produce and optimise sales and marketing content for use across social media (graphics, short videos, reels, stories, etc.).
Research trends, platform updates, and audience insights to inform content strategy.
Collaborate with designers to create cohesive campaign assets and pitch creative ideas.
Undertake full social media management responsibilities: scheduling, analytics tracking, reporting, A/B testing, and performance optimisation.
Requirements
Proven experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, or a related field, with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly, creatively, and in line with brand tone.
Proficiency with social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite, Canva, Later).
Strong copywriting, content creation, community engagement, and digital storytelling skills.
Ability to analyse metrics and translate data into actionable insights.
Awareness of platform-specific best practices, trends, and online community cultures.
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
A degree or qualification in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related discipline is preferred but not essential.
