We're a small, independent hospitality group operating
three distinct food & drink businesses in Shrewsbury
. Each brand has its own personality, audience, and offering -- but all share a focus on quality, atmosphere, and community.
We're looking for a
creative, organised, and hospitality-savvy Social Media Manager
to take ownership of our digital presence, grow our audiences, and help convert followers into bookings.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves food, drink, people, and storytelling -- and understands that social media in hospitality is about energy, emotion, and experience, not just pretty photos.
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Creation & Capture
Plan, shoot, and edit short-form content (Reels, Stories, TikToks)
Capture food, drinks, service, atmosphere, events, and behind-the-scenes moments
Work on-site during service, launches, and events to capture authentic content
Maintain a consistent visual style while respecting each brand's identityManage Instagram (primary), Facebook, and TikTok across all three businesses
Strategy & Growth
Develop platform-specific strategies for each business
Grow followers organically and improve engagement
Support key business goals: bookings, events, launches, quiet-period trade
Suggest creative campaigns, offers, and content ideasCollaboration
Create and schedule weekly content calendars
Write engaging, on-brand captions with clear calls to action
Respond to comments and messages in a timely, friendly tone
Monitor trends and adapt content quickly where relevant
Work closely with owners, chefs, bar teams, and front-of-house
Align content with menus, promotions, seasonal changes, and events
Occasionally support email marketing or basic website updates (nice to have) Proven experience managing social media for hospitality, food, drink, or lifestyle brands
Desirable
Photography skills
Experience with Canva, CapCut, InShot, or similar tools
Understanding of hospitality operations and customer behaviour
Local knowledge of Shrewsbury and its audience
Basic analytics and reporting experience
You love restaurants, bars, and cafes
Strong short-form video skills (filming + editing)
Confident using Instagram Reels, Stories, TikTok, and Meta tools
Excellent written English with a strong sense of tone and personality
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Comfortable being on-site during busy service periods
You spot content opportunities everywhere
You're organised but creative
You understand that social media should
drive footfall
