Social Media Manager

Wateringbury, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to oversee and enhance our company's online presence across various digital platforms. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand image, engaging with our community, and driving strategic communication efforts. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about digital marketing, public relations, and social media management to contribute to our organisation's growth and visibility.

This is a hands-on, creative, and analytical role suited to someone who can work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and bring structure, consistency, and energy to our digital presence.

Brand & Content Management

Develop and deliver engaging social media content calendars for both our own brand and client brands. Create and manage high-quality, on-brand posts, stories, and campaigns across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others as relevant). Ensure all activity aligns with each brand's tone of voice, visual identity, and strategic goals. Support the creation of campaign assets (graphics, video, short-form content) -- liaising with design, photography, and e-commerce teams as needed.

Strategy & Planning

Plan and schedule content using social media management tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Later, Hootsuite, or similar). Contribute to campaign planning and seasonal promotions in collaboration with the Head of Growth and external agencies. Track and interpret social trends and emerging platform features to keep our brands relevant and visible.

Engagement & Community

Monitor comments, messages, and tagged content, ensuring timely and professional engagement with followers. Identify opportunities to grow audience reach and community engagement through partnerships, influencer activity, and collaborations.

Performance & Reporting

Analyse social media performance metrics -- reach, engagement, growth, CTR, and conversions. Prepare monthly reports highlighting key learnings, content performance, and areas for improvement. Use data insights to continuously optimise content strategy and posting schedules.

Collaboration & Initiative

Work closely with e-commerce and marketing teams to support product launches, campaigns, and seasonal content. Take initiative in proposing new ideas, campaigns, or improvements to increase visibility and sales. Manage social media tasks independently, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery without requiring close supervision.
