Job Summary:
We're looking for a dynamic and health-conscious
Social Media and Marketing Manager
to lead the digital marketing strategy for our health club. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the voice and online presence of a growing fitness brand, drive member engagement, and attract new clients through creative campaigns and content.
You'll manage all digital marketing efforts, with a focus on social media, brand awareness, promotions, and member communication both online and in-club.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy & Management
Develop and execute a content plan across Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant platforms to promote classes, PTs, events, and club culture.
Produce high-quality, engaging content including photos, videos, stories, and reels showcasing the club's offerings, team, and member success.
Respond to messages and comments to build community and foster positive member relationships.
Track social media performance metrics and adjust strategy based on data.
Campaigns & Promotions
Plan and manage marketing campaigns aligned with clubs' goals, seasonal offers, open days, and external events and competitions.
Coordinate with heads of departments to align marketing with member acquisition and retention goals.
Collaborate on all media campaigns and promotions, and all in-club signage to ensure a consistency and accuracy.
Manage email marketing and CRM systems
Digital Advertising & SEO
Manage paid ad campaigns (e.g., Meta Ads) to drive lead generation and awareness, track performance metrics.
Work with internal teams to optimise SEO and website content.
Monitor and analyse ad spend performance and ROI.
Analyse data to refine strategies and boost engagement.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
Content Creation & Branding
Create branded visuals and templates using tools like Canva or Adobe Suite.
Develop video content such as member testimonials, trainer tips, or facility tours.
Ensure all marketing materials reflect the club's tone, values, and aesthetics.
Community Engagement
Liaise with the Wellness manager to source stories and build a sense of community online.
Liaise with the PCP source stories and build a sense of community online
Promote club events, fitness challenges, charity initiatives, and local partnerships.
Requirements:
Essential:
Proven experience in social media or digital marketing, ideally in fitness, hospitality, or lifestyle sectors.
Passion for health, wellness, and fitness.
Strong content creation skills -- particularly photography and short-form video.
Familiarity with tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Organised, self-motivated, and results focused.
Desirable:
Experience working in or marketing for a gym, health club, or wellness brand.
Knowledge of member management systems.
Basic design or video editing skills.
