Newport City Council is seeking dedicated and compassionate Social Work Assistants to join our dynamic Adult Social Services Teams. These teams support adults aged 18 and over, working collaboratively to promote well-being and independence in line with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support and assistance to Social Workers and team colleagues.
Manage the daily duty function within the team.
Conduct reviews and participate in joint visits with Social Workers.
Deliver Information, Advice, and Assistance (IAA) to citizens.
Work in partnership with health services and community agencies.
Contribute to outcome-focused planning that reflects what matters most to individuals.

Previous experience in a social care or support role is desirable.
