Thank you for your interest in the position of Social Work Assistant Post within our Dunfermline Social Work Team, which is part of Fife Health and Social Care Partnership.

This 36-hour posts will be based within Older people teams in Dunfermline, Lynebank Hospital and will contribute to the delivery of a high quality professional social work service, underpinned by legislation.

The Person
You should have considerable experience in a relevant setting and knowledge and understanding of Adult Protection legislation, guidelines and information sharing protocols.
You may on rare occasion undertake activities out-with normal working hours and be prepared to work in the evenings and at weekends if required, e.g. training sessions, unusual circumstances and the occasional emergency situation that may arise.
Experience of joint working to achieve common goals and experience working with statutory social work services is desirable.
A relevant Qualification (HNC) social care is desired.
Due to the nature of the role, you will also be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership for children and protected adults.
