About our Team

Our dynamic Agile Team delivers the SSRN platform, which enables early, and easy sharing of scientific knowledge and is used by millions of researchers, universities and institutions across the globe. The team works interactively with a wide range of technologies to support and develop the platform and its capabilities. The team works with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders in a real-time interactive way.

About the Role

We are looking for someone to help us continue to deliver a safe and stable service using best practise software development processes. We are looking for an interactive developer who can help us refine and then implement to help us shape the future of early-stage research sharing.

Responsibilities

  • Interfacing with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
  • Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components
  • Working closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
  • Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
  • Delivering safe and stable code within a mixture of Agile development methodologies and environments.
Requirements
  • Have proficiency with data manipulation languages (SQL).
  • Ability to work with complex data models.
  • Have proficiency in one or more development languages from the following list: Java/J2EE, Spring, JavaScript, HTML, XML, React.
  • Have the ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.
  • Can write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components.
  • Possess Knowledge of software development methodologies. (e.g. Agile)
  • Have some understanding and exposure to Cloud services AWS/Google/Azure.
