About the Role:



We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled?Solar Project Manager?to lead the delivery of solar energy projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have experience managing commercial or residential solar installations, with a strong understanding of photovoltaic systems, grid integration, and regulatory compliance.

In this role, you will:



Project Management:

Oversee all phases of solar PV projects including planning, design, procurement, installation, and commissioning. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient execution.
Technical Oversight:

Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies. Review and approve system designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations. Monitor installation quality and troubleshoot technical issues.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:

Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates and managing expectations. Collaborate with utility companies, local authorities, and permitting agencies. Prepare and present project documentation and reports.
Quality & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to health & safety standards and environmental regulations. Maintain accurate records for audits, certifications, and warranty claims. Implement quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
Financial Management:

Track project costs and manage budgets effectively. Support procurement and contract negotiations. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.

What we are looking for:



Proven track record estimating and winning tenders - preferably within the solar or roofing and building envelope refurbishment project sector. Experience working directly with clients and surveyors on commercial and industrial projects. Confident communicator, capable of leading site surveys and client discussions. Commercially astute, organised, and self-managed, able to work under pressure to deadlines. Experience liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to build accurate, competitive project specifications. Strong knowledge of solar technologies, grid connection processes, and renewable energy regulations. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field. Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is advantageous. Proficiency in project management and design software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, PVsyst).
