Job Description

As a Roofer/Solar PV Installer with SCIS Group, you will play a critical role in supporting our solar installation projects. You will work closely with our experienced solar installation team to ensure that roofing systems are safely and efficiently prepared and maintained to support solar panel installations. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Roof Preparation:

Inspect and prepare roofs for solar panel installations, including cleaning, repairing, and reinforcing roofing structures as needed.

Installation Support:

Assist in the installation of solar panel mounting systems, ensuring secure and precise placement according to engineering specifications.

Maintenance and Repairs:

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on roofing systems to ensure long-term durability and functionality.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure that safety practices are followed.

Collaboration:

Work effectively with the solar installation team and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and to the highest standards.

Customer Interaction:

Communicate with clients in a professional manner when required, addressing any questions or concerns regarding roofing work.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of work performed,

materials used, and any issues encountered during installations or repairs.

Qualifications

:

Proven experience as a Roofer, with a solid understanding of roofing materials, techniques, and best practices. Previous experience working with solar installation teams or renewable energy systems is highly desirable. CSCS and DBS are desirable but not essential. Proficiency in using roofing tools and equipment, with a focus on safety and quality. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation plans. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Relevant roofing qualifications or certifications are preferred. A valid driving license and the ability to travel to various job sites as required.
