Job Summary


We are seeking a fully qualified

Ultrasound Sonographer

to join our patient-focused team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality diagnostic and reassurance scans, ensuring clinical excellence, patient safety, and compassionate care. You will play a key role in supporting expectant parents through their pregnancy journey, while maintaining compliance with UK healthcare standards.

Responsibilities



Perform a wide range of ultrasound scans, including: Early pregnancy viability scans Dating scans Gender determination scans Well-being and growth scans 2D, 3D, and 4D imaging Produce accurate medical reports and provide clear explanations to patients. Ensure patient comfort and reassurance throughout the scanning process. Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment to the highest standards. Adhere to clinic protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements (CQC, HCPC, RCR guidelines). Safeguard patient confidentiality and uphold professional ethics. Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent service delivery. Participate in ongoing professional development and training. Proven experience as a Sonographer in a clinical setting, with a strong background in anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging. Demonstrated ability to operate ultrasound equipment efficiently while maintaining patient care standards.

Qualifications & Requirement

BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent. Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound (PgCert / PgDip / MSc). HCPC registration (mandatory). Minimum 1-2 years' post-qualification experience in obstetric ultrasound. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to patient-centred care and clinical excellence.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From 50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
