We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team in our stylish waterfront Italian restaurant, located in the vibrant Docklands area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating delicious dishes that delight our guests.
Responsibilities
Ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen equipment usage.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in an Italian restaurant or hospitality setting, with strong culinary skills.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house staff.
A passion for culinary arts and creativity in developing new dishes.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential.
