We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in South Indian food production and preparation, along with excellent leadership and team management skills. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes that delight our guests while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your culinary expertise in South Indian cuisine and hospitality mindset will play a vital role in enhancing our dining experience.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant procedures.
Assist in maintaining positive guest relations by addressing any concerns or feedback regarding food quality or service.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a South-Indian restaurant setting.
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests.
Culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential if experience is demonstrated.
