Job Purpose

Our successful business continues to grow and we're looking for someone to join our team of Stairlift Engineers here at Dolphin Stairlifts (South West). Experience in a similar role is not essential, as in-house training would be given to the right candidate with a suitable mechanical / electrical or engineering background. There is opportunity to progress through the business and attend courses on stairlifts - both in-house and at manufacturers' sites.

We work with the leading manufacturers of stairlifts, through floor lifts and platform lifts, including Stannah, Platinum, TK Access, Terrys, Wessex, Handicare and Bruno - so there's lots of scope to develop your skills.

Based at our warehouse and showroom on Lords Meadow Industrial Estate in Crediton, you would have your own company van to travel around Devon to our client sites. You need a clean driving licence and as we work with vulnerable people, you'd undergo a Disclosure & Barring Service check.

The post would be for 5 days a week, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (1 hour for lunch) and a competitive salary would be given (depending on experience).

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Installing stairlifts, platform lifts and step-lifts on-site at client's homes - including a working demonstration and handover to the client; Maintaining, servicing and repairing stairlifts, through-floor lifts, platform lifts and step-lifts; Preparing vans for the day ahead, including loading of stairlifts; Ensuring all tools and equipment are available; Unloading deliveries of stairlifts; Preparing reconditioned stairlifts; Attending call-outs to repair and maintain stairlifts; Ordering spare parts and keeping an inventory of when they arrive; Keeping accurate, up-to-date admin records for your work and actions taken.
