We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in painting and fabrication, with the ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency with both hand and power tools. As a Painter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality finishes on various surfaces, contributing to the overall aesthetic and functionality of our products.
Duties
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Fabricate and assemble components as needed for painting projects.
Utilise mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain painting equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform quality checks on finished work to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
Maintain an organised and clean workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.
Experience
Proven experience in painting roles or similar positions within a warehouse setting is preferred.
Familiarity with basic maths for measuring and mixing paint accurately.
Competence in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the painting trade.
Experience in welding is advantageous but not mandatory.
A strong attention to detail with an eye for colour matching and finishing techniques is essential.
