Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for the leadership & performance of a cross functional team of Technical Leads, Quality Inspectors and Stores Operatives, with support from Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering and Operational Support, to deliver inventory and kitting accuracy through all Stores in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).




Responsibilities




Improve and maintain inventory accuracy throughout all Stores, reviewing FIFO and Use By Maintain Goods Inward process, kitting accuracy and drive Continuous Improvement, by utilising lean principles to deliver operational cost reductions within a lean manufacturing environment. Regular review of all stock locations ensuring all "god stock" is visible Ensure all Stock Adjustments are fully investigated to root cause, and amendments made to standard operating process if required Capacity planning within budgeted manning & cost levels Liaising with key stakeholders within other value streams and support functions to ensure timely delivery of components in line with MPS requirement Optimising work flow and layout in conjunction with Engineering, Quality and Continuous Improvement Ensuring all Company and regulatory quality, health and safety requirements are maintained and improved Ensuring correct and timely usage of MRP system by all functions within the value stream Participating in on site customer events and audits Prioritise and delegate tasks to ensure productivity, quality & improvement targets are met in accordance with set KPI's and reporting on Weekly Key Performance indicators to Senior Management Absence management and resource planning Develop & maintain visual management systems in line with visual factory Lead & participate in projects to success via SMART objectives Co-ordinate cross-training to maximise versatility of employees Carry out RCCA investigations into any Quality/Process/Safety Issues Ensure clear communication to and from the shift employees at all times Perform other duties as directed by Department Manager

Requirements




Essential




Minimum of 3 years Management/Supervisory experience within a highly-regulated and fast paced Engineering/Manufacturing environment Minimum of 1 years' experience using MRP / ERP systems Proven track record in Lean Manufacturing. Must be able to demonstrate and explain techniques which they have used to drive continuous change, Standardise Work, 5's and visual management Results orientated with experience of delegating and organising teams to ensure the achievement of Financial, Production and Quality Targets within a Manufacturing Environment Strong development and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement implementation, corrective & preventative actions via RCCA, KPI's and daily Metrics Excellent communication and IT skills, with the ability to communicate to all levels
