Job Description

We're looking for a forward-thinking Strategic Asset Manager to lead the development and delivery of Connexus' Asset Management, Sustainability, and Decarbonisation Strategy. This is a senior leadership role that will drive transformation across our property portfolio, ensuring our homes are fit for the future and aligned with our long-term business plan.

You will play a key role in shaping and executing our stock investment programmes, managing property options appraisals, and overseeing commercial property functions. You will also lead on energy efficiency improvements, sustainability initiatives, and securing external funding to support our environmental ambitions.

Key Responsibilities



Lead the strategic direction of asset management and sustainability across Connexus. Develop and maintain investment plans (annual, 5-year, and 30-year) aligned with Decent Homes standards. Manage the Asset team, including performance reviews, target setting, and budget oversight. Deliver capital programmes and procurement strategies for planned investment and decarbonisation. Oversee commercial property management and lease agreements. Analyse stock condition and energy performance data to inform investment decisions. Lead external funding bids and build partnerships to support sustainability goals. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and internal policies.

What we are looking for



Strong knowledge of the construction industry, building regulations, and sustainability policy. Experience in strategic asset management, contract management, and team leadership. Ability to manage budgets, deliver value for money, and drive organisational change. Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in asset data systems and performance monitoring tools.
This role has been identified as suitable for hybrid working which will be a combination of home working and working from our offices, with Head office at Craven Arms and travel to other offices as required.
