Our Street Works team has a fantastic opportunity for a Street Works Administration Assistant to join them in Walkden.



This role will be 37 hours per week based over seven days, so some weekend work will apply.







Our Role





This role is a fundamental part of SP ENW's commitment to minimise the financial and reputational risks associated with street works non-compliance and to support the company objective of achieving street works excellence.





As a Street Works Administration Assistant, you will undertake all administrative tasks related to Street Works, including but not limited to:


Efficiently handling any related administrative tasks through our Aurora Symology system, including:

End-to-end administrative process for permits Any urgent or non-urgent SLG & reinstatement defects Any related fines or costs Traffic management coordination & requests Issue of work instructions for reinstatement including variations Defective apparatus related queries Acting as an interface between internal & external stakeholders.

You will also be required to:


Support the business in company incentives & changes to legislation Respond to and resolve defective apparatus requests Support the business in the event of environmental incidents.

What we're looking for



Previous administrative experience (essential); Flexibility to work on weekends & bank holidays as part of a rota (essential); Be comfortable and competent to work alone or as part of agile working (essential); A good understanding of NRSWA, TMA (Traffic Management Act) and its associated legislation & codes of practice including SROH, The Safety Code etc.; An adaptable and flexible working style with the ability to respond to changing situations and areas of work (essential); A customer focus with the ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders (essential); A working knowledge of computers and mobile devices (essential), with experience of Symology Aurora & Street Manager (desirable).
