Teaching Assistant Supporting specific children

We wish to appoint a professional, dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to support a specific child in our school for either two or three days per week on a Thursday and Friday or Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The successful candidate will be keen to join our friendly team as soon as possible and will show empathy and understanding especially when working with young children with specific needs. We are looking for someone who is creative, good fun, with a positive outlook and a good sense of humour.

Experience working with pupils with ASD would be beneficial.

As a school we are committed to staff development and well placed to be able to offer ongoing support and training as you work closely with our friendly staff team, under the guidance of the school SENCO.

We are looking for someone who:

Has a genuine, professional interest to provide quality teaching to children and is highly motivated by the desire to support them in reaching their full potential Has a good sense of humour and lots of energy Is flexible, resilient and can use initiative Is organised with good interpersonal skills Is able to foster and maintain positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents /carers Is caring, kind and friendly to all Determined to make a difference Believes passionately that all children can and will succeed
Applicants must have Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above. Previous experience of working with young children in this capacity is preferred.

8:25am -3.15pm daily, term time only with a 30 minute lunch break. Salary in accordance with the new Kent Range KSA

St Peter' s CE Primary School is a happy, successful and over subscribed school with 211 children on roll. Our school is set in a beautiful part of Tunbridge Wells. Although it is possible to easily walk into the centre of Tunbridge Wells from our school, we are set on the edge of the town in the Hawkenbury Village area. Our children live locally to our school with many walking from the surrounding roads.

We have a wonderful site, with far reaching views, forest school, a field, multi use games area and a beautiful new building which was completed in 2021.
