We are looking for an experienced support worker who can demonstrate significant experience of having worked in a social services setting working with care leavers and/or young refugees who have just arrived in Sheffield. You will need to have experience of acting as an appropriate adult in order to support young people in legal situations. You will support social workers and other staff working in the leaving care service, offering support and advice on developing independence skills and supporting with housing/accommodation.



You will be an experienced worker who can remain calm in time of crisis and work with the most complex/vulnerable young people.



You will need to have NVQ Level 3 in Child care and GCSE in English grade A-C/9-4 and provide certification prior to interview.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
