We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Supported Living Support Worker to join our team. Duties
As a Supported Living Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting individuals with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Providing support with meal preparation and ensuring nutritional needs are met.
Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring health conditions.
Implementing behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and outcomes.
Supporting individuals in engaging with their community and participating in social activities.
Documenting care plans and progress notes accurately to ensure continuity of care.
Driving clients to appointments or community events as needed.
Collaborating with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to deliver comprehensive support.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
Experience in care settings such as hospice care, assisted living, or nursing homes is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols and health monitoring practices.
A valid driver's licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
A compassionate nature with a commitment to promoting independence and dignity for individuals in your care.
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends if required.
