We are a leading UK multi-discipline Chartered Surveying consultancy. We help organisations understand their energy and emissions baseline and identify the actions needed to optimise energy use, transition away from fossil fuels and reduce carbon emissions through pragmatic, proportionate and cost-effective actions. Founded in 2019 we have helped both large and small organisations understand how they can transition to a resilient and affordable low carbon future. The business is based in Exeter but delivers commissions throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Support with building surveys typically taking measurements, identifying building components and assessing condition.
Conduct detailed analysis and simulations of buildings and thermal energy systems through SBEM and other such modelling software.
Support with the design and implement of control systems for thermal applications.
Work on process engineering projects involving hot water, steam, and other thermal applications.
Collaborate with a team of experts to develop innovative solutions for low carbon estates.
Support the development and implementation of sustainable energy solutions.
Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
Support in the development of Heat Decarbonisation Plans and funding applications to schemes such as the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme.
Build client relationships to help the business grow.
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Estate Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or a closely related field or a HND or equivalent qualification in a similarly related field supported by relevant industrial experience.
Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of heat loss calculations.
Strong understanding of the Net Zero policy landscape.
Past involvement with sustainable construction techniques.
Past involvement with sustainable building adaptation and refurbishment.
At least two-year post qualification relevant work experience within the UK.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel and associated Power Applications.
Advanced user of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Regular use of AI platforms such as Copilot.
Additional Requirements:
Personal vetting to Security Check (SC) level will be required necessitating UK residency for at least 5 years.
Due to the nature of some of our work applicants MUST be UK Nationals.
Strong communication skills in all formats and great teamworking skills.
Commitment to professional development and career growth.
Full UK driving license.

Salary of 30,000 to 35,000 depending on experience.
